French Farmhouse Style Fall Tour

by Janet Clark at Home

I have been adding touches of fall around the house. I have never done much fall decorating, and I didn’t want to invest a lot of money, so simple, natural decor seemed to be the way to go. This also included a few DIY projects. Today I am going to share a french farmhouse style fall tour of my home.

Fall In The Dining Room

My factory rack full of ironstone is a favorite spot to add fall touches. A few pears, candlelight, sunflowers, and a pumpkin or two, add a cozy feel to the room.

An old tool box filled with dried hydrangeas makes a simple, but eye catching centerpiece for the dining room table.

Using Dried Florals For Fall

dried floral wreath

Nothing says fall like dried florals. I made this dried floral wreath and temporarily hung it on this kitchen hutch. It eventually made its way to the front door.

vintage green drawers and florals

You may remember when I dried florals from my yard. I used them on the wreath and here in the entry. I love using dusty pink and burgundy for fall.

On the other side of the entry, I displayed DIY tree branches in a DIY painted urn.

Fall in the Family Room and Kitchen

This DIY fall garland for the mantel was by far my favorite project of the season. You can see how I made my DIY fireplace screen and my DIY fireplace mantel.

A simple twig vine is embellished with faux floral picks. I am also loving bows on everything!

The garland may have been my favorite project, but this was my favorite vignette. Natural elements like apples, pears, and tree branches bring in the true beauty of fall. Cozy candlelight and loads of ironstone make my heart happy.

Speaking of loads of ironstone and candlelight, this hutch got a little fall, too.

Bringing the outdoors in, simple DIYs, and using real elements from nature, you can achieve a cozy fall home for very little money! Thanks for coming along on my little french farmhouse style fall tour, and “Happy fall, y’all!”.
