With fall quickly approaching, I am once again looking for ways to incorporate dried florals into my decor. Today, I am making a wreath. This homemade wreath is so simple, and I used florals dried from my own yard! Below, I will show you how to make a dried floral wreath.

Steps To Making A Dried Flower Wreath
I wanted a more twiggy look to my wreath, so I cut apart a grapevine wreath.
Remove the amount of vine you would like for your wreath, bend it to the size you like, and tie or secure with floral wire.
Select the dried florals of your choice. These were from my yard, you can read about drying them here.
The Salvia bunch I left as it was for the base. The roses were separated into single stems.
Remove most or all of the leaves.
I then added in some dried rye that I purchased at Hobby Lobby.
And for a little more color, dried pink carnations. I gathered the flowers in my hand and made a bundle that I thought would look good, and secured with floral wire.
The bundle was then secured to the vine with wire.
Trim the ends of the flowers so ribbon can be wrapped around and cover the wire and stems.
Finish with any ribbon or trim that you would like. I used a scrap of cotton lace trim I had on hand.
Now just enjoy your wreath! You can spray it with a foliage sealant and store it in a flat box with a lid so you can enjoy it next year as well.
Pin It For Later!

Pretty wreath! I love the look of the twiggy wreath. Not sure why I never thought of deconstructing a store bought wreath!

Thank you! They sell just the vine, but it is more expensive. And I am all about budget HaHa!
